I hope my children look back on today

and see a mother who had time to play.

Children grow up while you're not looking.

There will be years ahead for cleaning and cooking.

So quiet now cobwebs; dust go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Out of the mouths of babes

Drew: What's that?
Me: It's a bra.

Drew: What's it for?
Me: It's to...cover things.

Drew: So the boys don't see your booties?
Me: Exactly

Gettin' Snuggie with it

I just thought I would let you know, my Snuggie has arrived. I have wanted one forever and they finally roped me in with their buy one get one (almost) free offer. After waiting 4-6 weeks for delivery, it finally came. Anyone with a lick of sewing skill could make this on their own (and probably better quality) but I got a free reading light with it so how could I refuse?

The Family Circus

Circus Gatti was is town this weekend so we decided to fork over half our life savings and take the kids. The show was entertaining and I think the kids had fun. Drew's favorite part was the motorcycle riders that rode around in the big metal ball. Avery liked the dog show. My favorite part was the elephants and Brent's favorite part was leaving. We spent $20 on this:
That's right--snocones at $10 a pop. The kids entertained themselves with the light up part of the cup for the rest of the show. 24 hours later, I have no idea where our $10 cups are. They were getting antsy so we moved over to a less crowded part of the arena so they could run around and get their wiggles out. We would have gone home at intermission but since we paid so much to go, we were going to stay until the bitter end.
The rest of the weekend we just lounged around.
