See Ya!

We are headed out on the open road in a few days to visit our family waaaay up in the Northwest. Are you ready for us grandma and grandpa?!

Happy 4th of July!

These are the only pictures I got of the fourth of July. Our town isn't doing anything until July 7 so we drove to another town for their parade and it was just too dang hot to do anything else! So we drove into Amarillo and went shopping. That's how I like to celebrate my freedom! :)

Girls Camp

I was called as the new young women's president in our branch about two months ago. Ever since then, we have been planning girls camp. We camped in individual units this year so we got to plan everything ourselves. It was a lot of work and very stressful but in the end, it went so well! The girls had a great time. The leaders had a blast and I am so blessed to be able to serve such awesome girls. We rented a cabin in New Mexico (my kind of camping!) and enjoyed lots of fun activities. We drove over to White Sands to go sledding and have a picnic. It was 104 degrees and felt like we were sledding on the sun but the girls were good sports and enjoyed it anyway. Luckily the last day at the cabin was nice and cool so after our hike, we stayed inside and crafted the rest of the day--it was perfect. We made boards, necklaces and keychains. I loved seeing what everyone came up with. We took their cell phones while we were at camp so they couldn't text or anything and they were going crazy without them! When we gave them back on Saturday morning for the drive home, we didn't hear a peep out of them for a good two hours while they checked messages and updated their Facebook accounts! We had a great week and a lot of fun but I'm glad the stake gets to plan it next year!

Swim Lessons

I put Drew and Avery in swim lessons for three weeks. We still haven't moved past level 2 but they got lots of practice. They both need lessons for different reasons. Avery has no fear and is very adventurous. Drew does not like the deep end so he needs to get more comfortable with it. He likes to swim but only where he can touch the bottom. Maybe next year we will be able to move on to level three!

Guess who found my phone?!

Happy Birthday baby!

Oh my, where does the time go?! Finley turned one in June and got to have a fun little party at Grammy and Papaw's house. She loved digging into her cake and all the excitement of the party. I can't believe it's been a whole year already! We love our Fin Win!

End of School

We had all sorts of fun activities at the end of the school year.  Avery had a carnival and Drew had a Super Fun Activity Day along with an awards ceremony.  They had a great school year but are happy to be out for the summer!
