Just pictures

Since I am lacking with anything new or funny to post, I will just post some recent and very random pictures.
Here is our funny monkey Avery.

And here's Drew. We were rocking out playing Guitar Hero World Tour and I realized my drummer was no longer drumming. I guess we weren't rocking that hard. Here they are watching their morning cartoons together. Avery never actually finished those bananas. I found them in my closet later.
This is their new favorite thing. Avery figured out how to turn the water on in the bathtub and Drew thinks it's funny when she does things she's not supposed to because he gets the chance to try it out too. They love to turn the faucet on and drink the water. They've learned that the bath water is yucky because the soap gives them diarrhea so this is the next best thing to quench that mid-bath thirst.
And at the end of the day, they love to unwind in mom and dad's bed.

I told you these were random.

Happy Day

I am a happy girl today. Drew has finally been discharged from his feeding group. For those of you that know the frustration we have experienced with his gagging and throwing up, this signifies a tremendous step forward for us, especially for Drew. We are trying a new food for lunch at Mother's Day Out tomorrow: a cheese sandwich. We have been talking about it all week and he is very excited. I never thought I would get so excited about things like a cheese sandwich but then again I never thought I would have to worry about a child that threw up at the sight of a strawberry either. This is progress people.

Our New Table

Before we bought our house, the apartments we lived in were small and there wasn't anywhere to put a kitchen table so we gave ours away and ate on the couch with tv trays in the living room. Since we didn't have a table when we moved in our house, my mom let us borrow one they had in storage. So we have had a borrowed table for two years and after a remodel at my mom's house, she needed the table back. We knew we were just using the table until the remodel was finished so right before Thanksgiving, the table was moved out. We have not gotten a new table and have just returned to the good old days of eating on tv trays or eating at the counter. Well, all that changed this weekend. We found a great new table and I even got to buy a new rug to go underneath. Everyone helped put it together and we finally have a table to eat at! Avery is using her magna doodle "pen" as a screwdriver.

The kids found a seat on the table edge that was just their size.
Drew unscrewed the stabalizing blocks all by himself. This is a before and after. I love our new table and I'm just happy not to have to eat standing up anymore!
