Happy Birthday!

Brent hit the big 3-5 this year and the kids were so excited to throw him a little party. They couldn't wait to sing Happy Birthday, eat some cake and play pin the tail on the donkey.

(Avery decorated the cake--although let's be honest, my decorating probably would not have been as good.)

Halloween

Happy Halloween! OK, I know it was a couple of weeks ago, but since we are still eating Halloween candy, I can still blog about it.

Happy Fall Y'all

I love the Fall because the weather starts to turn colder and we are one step closer to winter. I love winter because I love snow. And Christmas. Anyhoo, we have done some fun things these past few weeks and here are the pictures to prove it!

Avery's class went on a field trip to a dairy farm and Finley and I got to tag along. It was really cool and really disgusting but the kids had fun. The only fact Avery remembered from the trip was that cows poop wherever they want.
We went to a Family fun farm and got to do all their fun activities. We ended with a corn maze and it was a disaster. We got really lost and had to have one of the workers come in to get us out. 3 other families were lost also and we were all led out together.

What would Fall be without pumpkins? My kids love to pick out pumpkins and love even more to decorate them and put them out on the porch. This year we painted some of our pumpkins and Brent did the carving. (Drew's pumpkin is painted like a power ranger mask. Avery took care of the rest since I had Finley in one hand and my camera in the other.)

And look what we got a few days before Halloween! I was so happy. The kids were excited to wake up to snow and couldn't wait to get home from school to build a snowman.
We also had Drew's Jog-A-Thon fundraiser at his school at the end of October. Grammy came down to watch him run and he ran around the track 5 1/2 times before time was up. That's over a mile! He's our future track star. Go Drew!
